Our founding history
The school system is full of injustices: no individual support, outdated teaching methods, and much more.
We are three students who decided to make a change in the system. We finished high school during the pandemic and realized that the school system is too old.
We lost motivation to learn and, of course, fell behind. It was our own responsibility to fill the gaps in our knowledge.
As a result, after graduating from high school, we got together and decided to change something. We want targeted, individual support for our students — and to boost motivation along the way. We don't want to leave any student behind.
We promise you fun lessons and good grades!
What LearnCircle stands for
For us, education comes first. Every student should have the best possible access to good tutoring – regardless of family background or social situation. That is why our group and one-on-one lessons can be funded through Germany's Education and Participation Package (BuT). In cooperation with the cities, we also offer free tutoring for students from low-income families.
Motivation matters to us just as much as good grades. Once per school year, we award a brand-new iPad to the student who has made the most learning progress.
What makes LearnCircle different
Tutors who get you
Our tutors are university students who still know curricula and exam formats from their own experience. Everyone passes our selection process before teaching. Meet our tutors
Individual, not one-size-fits-all
Whether one-on-one or in small groups of up to three students, you always get an individual learning plan that starts where you are right now. See our packages
More than school tutoring
Besides core subjects, we offer language courses – including Chinese and German as a foreign language – all the way to preparation for official exams such as the HSK. All language courses
Get to know us – your first lesson is free
The best way to decide is to try it: every new student gets a free trial lesson. Lessons take place in Essen and online – whatever works best for you.
